Terms and conditions

These general terms and conditions include the delivery and contract terms for the Millakka.fi online store (Online Service).

The online store is intended for companies and individuals. The prices of the products include the value added tax in force at any given time. The tax breakdown can be seen in the shopping cart and in the order confirmation. The customer register kept by our online service is confidential. Information will not be passed on to others. When placing an order, the subscriber must provide name, address, e-mail address and telephone number. The order is binding after the customer receives a written order confirmation.

1 Service provider and online store administrator

The operator of the Millakka.fi online store is Millakka.fi (Service Provider, Millakka), the invoicer is Millakka Oy, business ID number 3314381-7.

2 Membership

The user of the service is called the Customer, regardless of whether the Customer registers for the service. The service can also be ordered without registration, but in connection with the order we require information from the Customer in order to order the service. These terms of delivery apply to all Customers, whether they are corporate, community or consumer customers. The processing of customer data is described in more detail in the Data Protection Statement.

3 Payments and prices

Prices include VAT, but not delivery costs, unless otherwise stated. Millakka reserves the right to cancel the order if the product has been sold at an incorrect price due to a pricing error, system malfunction or other similar error situation.

Prices are checked at the time of processing. When the price drops, the prices are adjusted to the customer's open order. If the price increases before the order is processed, the product will be sold at the price at the time of placing the order.

4 Delivery

The products can be ordered either delivered by a delivery service or picked up from Millakka store. Orders ready for pickup in the store are reserved for the customer for seven days, unless otherwise stated.

Usually the products of a single order are delivered at once. If necessary, orders containing several products will be sent in several packages, so it is possible that all products will not arrive at the same time.

If not all of the products in the order can be delivered immediately, the customer can ask to split the order, in which case the missing products will be transferred to a new order. The delivery of a new order created as a result of dividing the order is subject to an additional charge. However, Millakka reserves the right to distribute orders unilaterally, in which case sending a new order is free of charge.

  • We reserve the right to send small items by letter to your home.
  • We reserve the right to send items larger than the maximum dimensions of the parcel locker to the post office.

5 Return and exchange

You have the right under the Consumer Protection Act to cancel your order and return the products or part of them within 14 days of receiving the order. Please note that returns are not free! You can pay the return shipping costs yourself or leave your customer return free of charge at a Posti service point, in which case we will deduct the return costs of €7.90 from the refund. In this case, use our own return label that you received with your order. If you no longer have it, please contact info@millakka.fi. We will send you a new return label by email.  You can also return it directly to the store for free, address information at the bottom of the page. Please notify us of the return in advance at info@millakka.fi.

The right of return only applies to products that are in their original packaging, unused and fit for sale.

Failure to pick up the ordered goods is not considered a cancellation of the transaction. We charge a separate €20 fee for orders that are returned from the pick-up point without a return notification. The transaction is then considered void and we will refund the customer the purchase amount minus the aforementioned €20 separate fee.

If you return the delivered shipment or the shipment cannot be delivered to the destination for any reason (e.g. incorrect phone number or delivery address), we will not refund any delivery, transportation or installation costs or additional service costs. The customer is also responsible for the return costs for products that require separate transportation due to their weight or size (dimensions over 100 x 60 x 60 cm, weight over 25 kg). Shipping costs for shipments not picked up (returns to the office) will not be refunded.

The customer is obliged to present a proof of purchase, receipt or other proof of the place and time of purchase in connection with the return. In addition, the customer must carefully keep all documents related to the customer return until they have received notification of the return from Millakka.

The customer is legally responsible for any decrease in value if the product has been put into use. The customer must take care of the product and the accessories, instructions and product packaging supplied with it until they have decided to keep the product.

Millakka will refund the payments received for returned products no later than 14 days after the returned products have been received or until the customer has proven to have sent the products back. The refund will be made using the payment method used by the customer to pay for the order, unless otherwise expressly agreed upon in connection with the return.

The limitations of the right to return are determined in accordance with applicable legislation. Pursuant to Chapter 6, Section 16 of the Consumer Protection Act, for example, the following products do not have a right to return:

  • Hygiene and intimate products do not have a right to return after the packaging has been opened, because the product cannot be returned for sale due to its nature. Hygiene and intimate products include, among others, earphones and hands-free devices.
  • Goods that can quickly deteriorate or become obsolete or that, due to their nature, have been inseparably mixed with other goods after delivery;


Registered vehicles, service products or digital content do not have a right of withdrawal in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act if the service has been completely performed, or the electronic delivery of digital content has begun after you have given your consent to the start of delivery and if the absence of the right of withdrawal has been notified in advance.

The Customer must report an incorrect delivery, a defective product or if the product has been lost during transport without delay to the address info@millakka.fi.

Problem situations

If the product is lost or damaged during transport or if it does not otherwise correspond to your order, you must report the error within 14 days at the latest in writing to info@millakka.fi or by calling 040 0278900. If the package is damaged during transport by the supplier (e.g. Posti), you must immediately file a complaint about the product with the relevant supplier.

 

6 Warranty and error liability

Equipment warranty

The warranty is determined in accordance with the warranty conditions defined by the manufacturer. The warranty does not limit the seller's fault liability as referred to in the Consumer Protection Act. The customer must familiarize himself with the warranty conditions supplied with the product before using the product. The warranty conditions can be found in the instructions for use, a separate warranty form or the manufacturer's web address, or by asking the Millakka store on the phone number +358 40 0278 900. The warranty only covers manufacturing and material defects in the product. Warranty repair is always carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's or importer's warranty conditions. Faulty outlet products will not be exchanged for a corresponding new product at a normal price.

Liability for errors

Millakka is not responsible for possible errors in the Service, products or materials or the resulting consequences. Millakka is also not responsible for any direct or indirect damages or disadvantages that result, for example, from the fact that the Service, product or material does not meet the Customer's needs or goals.

Millakka's responsibility for the order placed is always limited to canceling the contract and possibly returning the services paid in advance.

7 Changes

Millakka has the right to change these conditions unilaterally. When using the service, the user accepts the terms and conditions valid at any given time.

8 Dispute Resolution

The parties strive to negotiate disagreements, but if no agreement is reached between the parties, the consumer customer has the right to bring the disagreements arising from this agreement to the attention of consumer counseling or the dispute to be resolved by the consumer dispute board. The consumer also has the option of using the online dispute resolution forum maintained by the European Commission.
